Brand Ambassador

You enjoy interacting directly with customers by leading tastings and sharing NAMU’s story. You’re charismatic, a natural salesperson if you will, driven to make that connection with every potential client. Importantly, you’re a self-starter who can work events independently front start to finish. This probably isn’t your first time working as an ambassador either, so you have experience to back up your skills.

Job Details:

  • $25/hr + $5 commission per bottle sold

  • Up to 6-9 hrs/week off site (i.e. 2-3 events/tastings per week)

  • Night and weekend work is a must

  • Work schedule will vary week to week

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Spirits Tastings:

    • Ensure all customers feel accommodated and taken care of

    • Share the story and mission of NAMU with customers and clients

    • Educate customers about soju and the special process of making Korean spirits

    • Gently manage intoxicated guests and know when to stop serving them

    • Ask guests about allergies or other food restrictions, and inform guests of all menu allergens

    • ID all guests to ensure all guests are 21+ (if no host/hostess present)

  • Documentation and Admin:

    • Take photos at each tasting/event, upload, and organize to a shared drive

    • Track purchases and report data to ownership after each tasting/event

    • Document customer interest by counting pours served and other metrics

Qualifications (required):

  • Must be 21+ years old

  • Must be able to work on your feet for multiple hours in a row

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and handle light set-up and take-down work

  • Must have reliable transportation

Beneficial Skills and Experience (not required):

  • Prior experience in similar roles for spirits or alcoholic beverage companies

  • Knowledge of Korean food and beverages, especially soju

  • Multilingual
